This prestigious brand came to us to help with the launch of their first ever celebrity campaign, bringing the San Pellegrino brand, message and Italian identity to the masses. The client desired a spokesperson that appealed to the brand’s Italian sensibilities whilst also having organic ties to culinary and lifestyle.
From quarantine cocktails to San Pellegrino Terme
We first pitched Stanley Tucci to the brand back in 2019, when Stanley’s show ‘Searching For Italy’ was announced. The pandemic put a pause in planning, during which time Stanley went viral with his quarantine cocktails. A once not so convinced client was now sold at the idea of Stanley being the face of the brand. We negotiated a multi-year deal with Tucci including digital content, social media posts, PR and event appearances. Our content shoot took us to the source of the brands water – San Pellegrino Terme in the Bergamo region of Italy.
Reaching new territories
Ultimately, the client was impressed by our early foresight and our ability to negotiate a deal, especially because Stanley was hesitant to a partnership. The initial campaign content tested incredibly well in pre-launch and broke all the brand’s previous testing metrics, leading to the brand extending the partnership into TV as well.
