One of the most highly acclaimed creative minds in the world, Steve McQueen won an Academy Award for his film “12 Years a Slave” in 2013, featuring Michael Fassbender, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyong’o. Previously, for his groundbreaking artwork “Queen and Country”, McQueen received the Turner Prize in 2011; the highest award possible for a British visual artist. In 2011 he was also appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his services to the visual arts. In April 2014, Time Magazine included Steve in it’s revered annual TIME 100 list as one of the Most Influential People in the World.
