Lily Kwong is a landscape artist based in New York City with roots in the fashion & art worlds. Kwong began her career as a model and muse for top brands (like Tiffany & Co., Ferragamo and Maiyet), in addition to working as a fit model and studio assistant for her cousin, the designer Joseph Altuzarra. During her modelling years she traveled the globe from Paris to Beijing, developing a deep interest in how cities function. This passion led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Columbia University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2012. Lily later honed her passion for plants as a Project Director for the LVMH Miami Design District whilst studying sustainable design with horticulturalists from South Florida to the New York Botanical Garden. Lily is an important voice in the growing sustainable fashion movement, working with brands to make the world a greener, more sustainable place. American Vogue recognized Lily as one of the 120 most important fashion influencers, and she additionally has been featured in the pages of Vogue China, Vogue Italia, Vogue Australia, Elle, New York Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and more. Lily was recently named by the New York Times as one of the “9 Young New Yorkers Poised for Creative Greatness” and inducted into Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Class of 2018 in the Art & Style category. She is also a member of the NEW INC program, the New Museum’s incubator dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship across art and design. Lily serves as Cultured Magazine’s Landscape Editor, where she is becoming a leading voice in the field.
