ITB Celebrates Black History Month in the UK
Over the month of October, ITB team members attended a number of online panel talks, open forums and workshops to further their knowledge and learning of Black History in the UKView
At the beginning of March, ITB secured music talent and presenters to host and perform at Pandora’s International Women’s event in partnership with UNICEF. Talent secured by ITB included Maya Jama as the host, alongside music artists Mahalia, Anne-Marie and DJ Coco & Breezy, who gave incredible performances on the night. Other talent in attendance included the ‘Pandora Muses’ ambassadors model and activist Halima Aden, model Larsen Thompson, filmmaker, photographer Margaret Zhang and artist and photographer Tasya Van Ree who all showed their support by wearing the Pandora for UNICEF ‘We Can Do Anything’ charm. Over 500 fans of the artists and the brands turned up on the night to raise money for an important cause that will address the most urgent challenges facing young women and girls today. The crowd danced the night away in celebration of sisterhood, gender equality and female empowerment.
For every charm sold, £12 is donated to UNICEF towards furthering the work to help children and young people globally. In addition to this, 100% of all ticket proceeds from the #CharmsForChange event were also donated to the charity.
