During the Rugby World Cup 2019 tournament, Mastercard hosted Australian radio personality Angus O’Loughlin, South African presenter and producer Elma Smit, former Japanese model and blogger Laura Yamada and New Zealand Black Ferns star Tyla Nathan-Wong in Tokyo, Japan to showcase the brand’s exclusive priceless experiences. Each of the influencers captured content around the city, at various World Cup matches, and collaborated with the brand’s rugby ambassadors; Dan Carter and Bryan Habana, in their content production. As the preferred card partner of the Rugby World Cup, influencers were able to meet other people from around the world who also share the same passion for the sport and all Japan has to offer.
