For the launch of Breitling’s limited edition SuperOcean Heritage II Ocean Conservancy watch, members of the brand’s ‘Explorer Squad’ – David De Rothschild and Ben Fogle – took to the stage to discuss exploration and the environment, joined by a number of celebrities who came to listen.
ITB secured a variety of environmentally conscious tastemakers to attend the event and celebrate Breitling’s efforts towards sustainability, including Dougie Poytner, George Lamb, Maddy Elmer and Polly Morgan.
David (the youngest Briton to reach both geographical Poles) and Ben (broadcaster, bestselling author and United Nations Patron of the Wilderness) educated guests about everything from global warming to the conscious consumption of plastic.
To encourage customers to take an interest in the environment, Breitling unveiled the new watch at the event and showcased its eco-friendly features – including a strap crafted from Econyl Yarn, sourced from fishing nets found in the sea.
Breitling will be contributing a portion of product sales to the Ocean Conservancy and their global fight to end ocean pollution.
