Melissa is one of the largest manufacturers, distributors and exporters of footwear in Brazil. ITB were approached to help secure a partnership that would achieve significant press and consumer impact globally.
ITB devised a strategic approach to allow Melissa to group their budgets to spend on a celebrity designer, and use that influence to contract a model super-star into the campaign.
Collaboration & Partnership
This resulted in the securing of a collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld to create a collection and with Cara Delevingne as the face of the campaign. Karl Lagerfeld's involvement developed into a fully immersive creative project where he not only designed the shoes but also styled and shot the campaign.
Melissa achieved breakthrough sales and success with this collaboration. The press reaction led to increased sales and an acute increase in awareness of the Melissa brand with increased sales seen across its other products as a direct result.
