Grace Miceli is a Brooklyn based illustrator and animator whose work is characterised by a bold and colourful style with a wry and playful articulation of pop-culture references. Miceli’s signature graphics typically re-interpret well-known brands and icons in a humorous way, making a powerful statement with traditionally pretty pictures.
Her designs have caught the eye of numerous youth-focussed brands, media outlets and musical artists who love her provocative style and the way she engages with, and is inspired by, pop-culture and ideas of consumerism and femininity. Previous clients include Nasty Gal, Nike, Adidas Originals, Nylon Japan, Super Deluxe, Mac Miller and Carly Rae Jepsen. Her work has included content creation, custom illustration and animation as well as merchandise design.
An entrepreneur, as well as multi-talented artist, Grace has created a popular line of clothing and accessories under the moniker Art Baby Girl and also founded and runs the online exhibition space Art Baby Gallery. The gallery showcases and supports the work of young, predominantly female, artists and has had several successful IRL incarnations.
