Gentle Monster x Tilda Swinton
Talent Design Partnership
ITB were tasked to help conceive and execute an iconic design partnership for Korean eyewear giant Gentle Monster. We secured the inimitable Tilda Swinton to help create an exclusive range which celebrates creative élan and independent spirit.
ITB initiated a relationship that would involve months of intensive collaboration between the actress and brand. Known for her edgy and thought provoking roles, Tilda's directional influence inspired and guided both the designs and the visual concepts. The collaboration combines Swinton’s distinct taste and Gentle Monster’s fearless aesthetic, and includes three distinct styles in multiple different colour ways: Newtonic, TrickOfTheLight and Eye Eye. The collection is available to purchase at leading global fashion retailers including colette, Net-a-Porter, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The Launch Film
Tilda also stars in a short film, “The Endgame”, shot and directed by Erick Madigan Heck to celebrate the launch. The video depicts an ethereal Swinton trying her hand at chess and fencing, all while looking superbly sleek in Gentle Monster’s frames.
